“Where’d You Get Those?”

The German brand Puma continues the celebration of the 50th anniversary of its iconic status in pop culture, proving they know how to party... their newest partner in crime is the legendary Robert "Bobbito" Garcia - expert on basketball, hip-hop and the preacher of New York street culture. DJ, author, filmmaker, radio personality and member of "Rock Steady Crew" - Bobbito understands what Puma is all about - after all, their Suede model were sneakers of his youth.

Bobbito is one of the oldest sneakerheads out there, a founder of sneakers-focused dedicated series "Where'd You Get Those?" and "New York City's Sneaker Culture: 1960-1987" - his articles grasped the very gist of what sneakers and the whole culture built around them is all about. This man, just like Puma Suede shoes, has already left a mark - you can see it in the streets and clubs of New York - a hallmark of its unique urban culture.

Here's how Bobbito recalls the beginnings of this NYC vibe and its artifacts - "I thought of creating something that’s reminiscent to simpler times of the ’70s during my era of coming up when styles were fluid, sleek and simple, but also always related to b-ball culture."

After introducing a man, who doesn't need an introduction, but who, nevertheless, is behind the brand new Puma project, let's move on to the actual main protagonist of today's story. Puma Suede x Bobbito sneakers stem from a pure "old school" spirit. The unmistakable silhouette, known by the sneakerheads all over the globe, stands firmly on an invariably white sole. Model comes in two colorways: vintage orange shades meets white - 366336-01 here - and classic white mixed with blue accents - 366336-02 here - the latter being a more minimalist and modern edition. Both have a Bobbito signature in gold foil on the external lateral heel and the iconic catchphrase coined by Garcia - "WHERE'D YOU GET THOSE?" - embroidered on the inner insole.
