New Balance 991 'Flimby Catalogue Pack' Made in UK
American brand New Balance is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 'Flimby' factory in the UK. The designers have prepared the occasional M991 UKF 'Flimby Catalogue Pack' model, in the brand's typical shades of grey and beige, with the addition of a vintage effect on the sole. The classic New Balance silhouette, made in England since 2001, is currently experiencing its second youth. The normcore 991s are armed with the comfortable ABZORB system in the sole, and the "soft" body of the shoe, from the start, places the 991s in the premium lifestyle segment. The first of the 99x series to feature ABZORB cushioning technology both under the heel and in the forefoot, under the midfoot. This placement provided high comfort and much better cushioning. The outsole was also the first to feature the new Ndurance rubber compound, which increased durability through reduced friction. This treatment made them extremely durable, which won the hearts of customers from the start. The 991 owes its popularity to Apple founder and brilliant designer Steve Jobs. The shoes are made from high-quality materials such as nubuck and mesh, with great attention to detail guaranteed by the British factory Flimby, which opened in 1982. #40thanniversary
