New Balance is celebrating more than a century on the market!
New Balance decided to proudly celebrate more than a century as an independent brand on the market with a color that has become a part of its history. Grey is much more than just a shade, it is a symbol that unifies a global family of independent and courageous New Balance fans. It is always fashionable and perfectly matches the current trends. Grey doesn’t have to mean boring!
The grey New Balance models were first launched in 1980. And not only did they meet the requirements of the fashion trends of that time but they also satisfied the expectations of urban runners. Combining these two worlds was a real challenge for the company. Since then, New Balance has launched a lot of iconic models in this color range. Grey became a real symbol of the brand signifying the legacy and independence of New Balance.
On 5th September New Balance celebrated "Grey Day" and specially for this occasion it released a new collection of shoes and clothing which include two limited models from the MADE in USA series. MADE 997S is a variation on the classic 997 model and it combines the upper of MADE 997 with the sole of 997S. On the other hand, MADE 997 is a classic model which instead of the traditional “N” on the side, has an imprinted “New Balance / MADE in USA” inscription. Both models beautifully incorporate grey elements and are made of suede, leather and mesh.
