Alpha Industries began its operation in 1959 in Tennessee as a producer for military clothing. Their first seat was in a rented plant in Knoxville. Soon after, the company gained in popularity and started to cooperate with the American Department of Defence. The key to the success was the unique quality of their fabrics and excellent make of the products. The reputation was later on also recognized by civilians. This is how Alpha Industries has become one of the most important streetwear brands.
Alpha Industries - history of clothes
The pieces of clothing offered are unique due to their special designs that influenced many other streetwear brands. Their top product is the MA 1 – a classic bomber jacket created for U.S. Air Force One. It has been a bestseller for almost 50 years now. The jacket was produced to be used on colder days and equipped with some orange gussets – the colour used on emergency. Another model is the M 65, which was the basic piece of clothing for infantry solders in 1965. It was especially famous during the war in Vietnam and was even shown in the movie “The Taxi Driver” where it was worn by Robert De Niro. During their 55 years of operation, Alpha Industries has been focused on providing high quality products and unique designs to the people who need them and who are ready to appreciate excellent clothes.
