Côte & Ciel is a Parisian brand founded in 2008, and its origins are connected with the projects of the backpacks commissioned by Apple. This resulted in a collaboration with Damir Doma, to now become a large company with a team of artists, stylists and designers. Côte & Ciel from the beginning characterized by functionality and innovation of form and minimalism inspired by urbanism. Côte & Ciel rethought the backpack and redesigned it so that it looks like a kind of monolith, a geometric solid that is a whole. The direct inspiration of the silhouettes of backpacks and accessories comes directly from the rocks, and their colors and shapes are incidental basalt stones, characteristic of the Nile area.
