SHOES ASICS GEL-LYTE V H7Z2L 0202
ASICS GEL Lyte V shoes from 1993 are an improved continuation of the successful Gel Lyte III. The absence of the model IV was due to a deep-rooted belief that the number 4 brings bad luck in Japan! A significant change from its predecessor is the replacement of the characteristic split tongue with a neoprene "sock" that increases the comfort, fit and stability of the runner. The original version was characterized by vivid colors, typical for the mid-90s. The upper was constructed from a combination of lightweight and strong materials to significantly reduce the boot! The sole, like its predecessor, is equipped with two gel cushioning system inserts-a larger one in the heel area and a smaller one on the midfoot. They increase the feeling of comfort and cushioning of the runner. The introduction of the system in the late 1980s greatly revolutionized the asics running shoe division. The shock absorption system was based on the dispersion of vertical shocks in the horizontal plane. All this contributed to further innovations, so that in the mid-1990s the ASICS brand became a technological leader in the industry! The first re-release of the GEL Lyte V in the retro version was in 2013 and since the day of its re-release, they have enjoyed undiminished popularity.
