The Air Max family is probably one of the most recognizable in the Nike stables. Its beginnings date back to 1987. It's easy to calculate, that in 2017, it celebrated its 30th anniversary. On this occasion, during the Air Max Day on 26/03/2017, a new model was presented - the Nike VaporMax. We can easily call it revolutionary. Why? Everything will be explained soon. Over the years, Nike designers have developed their flagship technology, wanting to make the most of its properties. The noticeable procedure was the cyclical increase of the surface of Air Max cushions, but only in Nike VaporMax the maximum of what has been worked on for 30 years has been achieved. The new sole has completely eliminated the foam, which was previously a connector between the upper and the Air Max gas cushion. The cushion itself has reached its maximum size, absorbing every centimetre of the foot. Such solutions have made the Nike VaporMax shoes really light! What you should pay attention to is the shape of the cushion. It is about the tabs used in it, because the operation of the new sole is largely based on them. When pressing on the ground, the tabs are pushed inwards, resulting in an increase in the pressure inside the Air Max cushion. However, when taking off the foot from the surface, the air expands, giving the effect of elastic, dynamic reflection. It is worth mentioning that the development of the new "cloud-walking" technology took Nike designers over 7 years!
