It is 1991. A brilliant Nike designer - Tinker Hatfield is working on a revolutionary new shoe design of incredible running stabilization. Inspired by a trip on water skis and enchanted by the fit of special shoes for this sport, he came up with the idea of using neoprene in new running shoe. This is how cult shoes Air Huarache came to life and the name of all subsequent lines start - Huarache, taken from shoes of ancient Maya, once used to fight! During the intensive work on the project, Tinker decided to emphasize a new shoe with a different, characteristic logo. He went even further - he decided to deprive them of the cult swoosh! It was, for those times, a very bold and innovative move! This is how a new logo was created, in the form of a rubber circle sewed on the tongue, giving a start to all subsequent families of Air Huarache! For the co-founder of this success, and for the face of commercial advertising, Nike selected an athlete and the later Olympic champion - Michael Johnson! Thus the legend was born! No matter where - over the ocean, in the UK, or in Poland - Nike Air Huarache are unquestionably experiencing their rebirth from several seasons and a second youth!
